Accessibility
Quay's Junk Removal wants everyone to be able to get a bid and hire us, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We built this site to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we fix problems when we learn about them.
What we have done
- Every form field has a label a screen reader can read, and mistakes are announced in words next to the form.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are, and a link at the top of each page to skip to the content.
- Text and buttons meet the contrast levels for low vision, and the page can be zoomed to 200 percent without losing anything.
- The site uses large type and large tap targets, and no flashing or moving content.
- Signing without drawing. The agreement can be signed by ticking a box that uses your typed name as your signature, so you do not need to draw with a finger or a mouse.
- Photos are helpful but never required. You can describe what you want removed in words.
- Agreeing to text messages is never required. We will call you instead.
If something does not work for you
Please tell us. call or text us. Tell us what you were trying to do and what went wrong. We will help you right then, by phone or in person, at no extra cost: taking your request, reading you your bid and your agreement, and arranging a paper copy to sign if you prefer. Then we will fix the site. We aim to answer within two business days.
Known limits
Card payments happen on a page run by Stripe, which publishes its own accessibility information. If that page gives you trouble, we can take payment another way. Photos sent by other customers do not have text descriptions, because only that customer and our crew ever see them.
